How Has Emerging Technologies Affected Journalism

  As technology advances not only does it affect the daily lives of people but it affects journalism. As I mentioned before in my previous article on how twitter affects journalism. It allows users to tweet anything relating to current events, which spread fast. It is very convenient for journalists since it is fast and efficient. In addition it only makes sense to post news on twitter since 50 percent of users get their news from the website. Another similar platform is Snapchat. Snapchat is an app that allows you to post live videos to your feed and privately to others. Many news companies have their snapchats under the "Discover" tab which allows viewers to see what is going on live in the world. Under the "Live" tab Snapchat has random videos of events going on. For example right now there's videos of what people are doing for Ramadan.
